İstanbul Kebab House — Turkish & Mediterranean Cuisine
Our Story

About İstanbul Kebab House

A small Turkish and Mediterranean kitchen in downtown Halifax, built around the charcoal grill.

Our Story

A taste of Istanbul, made in Halifax.

Tucked onto 1569 Dresden Row in downtown Halifax, İstanbul Kebab House serves Turkish and Mediterranean cooking the way it’s meant to be — over charcoal, made to order, and shared at the table.

From kebabs and mezze to baklava, every plate is built around the same idea: honest, fire-grilled food, plenty of it, and a room that feels like home.

Who We Are

A small kitchen, built around fire.

İstanbul Kebab House is a Turkish and Mediterranean kitchen — not a buffet, not a chain. Everything is cooked to order, over charcoal, by hand.

That means a wait sometimes, and it means the plate that comes out was made for you, not reheated from a batch. It’s a small trade-off we think is worth it.

Two Traditions, One Table

The Grill

Kebabs and kofte, charcoal-grilled and built around the skewer — the backbone of the menu.

The Table

Mezze, salads and shared plates, meant to sit in the middle of the table alongside everything else.

The Table

Food is better around the table.

Every plate here is sized for sharing — that's not an accident.
